Boiler Room Stabilization

Challenge:

A nearby sinkhole swallowed soil, causing a void under a concrete slab holding 50,000 lb. boiler.

Solution:

Hi-Tech placed copper tubes at various depths before the concrete contractor filled the void. After concrete cured, Hi-Tech injected urethane geo-polymers to densify and stabilize below mass concrete void fill placement, increase bearing capacity. Then, Hi-Tech filled voids directly below slab above mass concrete fill and adjacent floor areas.
